Winterization Checklist

Please review the following list of winterization services and select any services you will require for this coming Winter 2011/2012 Season.  Once you’ve selected the appropriate services, please fill out the reCAPTCHA security code then click submit to e-mail your list directly to our office.

Please note all Decommissioning services are billed at time and materials due to the varied nature of each vessel with respect to both materials and time required.  We would be more than happy to provide an approximate cost for your winterization services upon request.

Waste oil, fuel and filters are recycled here at Pirate Cove.  Should you decide to change the oil and filters on your boat, please see a member of our service team for the appropriate disposal and/or recycling of any of these items here at Pirate Cove Marina.  There are nominal fees associated with handling these items in our efforts to maintain an environmentally friendly facility.

Please note the prices for unstepping masts consider the time associated with disconnecting standing rigging, setting the strap, lifting the mast from the boat, storage of the mast on our rack and removal of spreaders to prevent freeze damage.

De-rigging services (Boom removal, mast wiring, running rigging, etc.) are considered additional services and are billed at $80.00/hr.

SHRINK-WRAPPING SERVICE

All sails, canvas and biminis should be removed prior to shrink-wrapping.  Shrink-wrap pricing considers general boat framing and preparation.  Canvas removal and other labor items not associated with general boat preparation will be billed at $80.00/hr.

All boats contracting for shrink wrap services are offered the installation of moisture controlling products.  The large Damp Rid tubs are $14.24.  We also offer 3-packs of the small hanging moisture control agents for $14.09.  Please indicate how many of each you would like, there is no charge for installation.
